Here is the WHOIS information from Tucows, at 18 August 2005, 23:13. Notice who the "Registration Service Provider" is.
In the end, I had to re-register an old domain so that I could receive the transfer-request from Tucows/OpenSRS. Others may not be so fortunate.
The cost to transfer and renew my domain (css-networks) to 123-reg, re-register the old domain, and register this uk2sucks domain (all with DNS management), was still less than the £65 uk2.net wanted for me to renew my domain with DNS management.
The only thing that's tipped it slightly over is the £15 uk2.net made me pay to get away from them. Which they didn't even do properly.
