We’ve compiled a list of electric cars with the highest range, helping you make the easy switch to electric.
Tesla Model S – 367 miles
The Tesla Model S is one of the top of the range electric vehicles, and rightly so because it has an impressive range of 367 miles. The Model S is industry leading, with plenty of convenient charging points all over the world. It can recharge up to 133 miles in just 15 minutes from any supercharger. As well as having impressive range, it also boasts a number of innovative tech features, such as its 360-degree rear, side and front facing cameras, its 12 ultrasonic sensors to assist with parking and preventing collision, and a 160m long range view of distant objects on the road. Plus, its futuristic Autopilot Advanced Safety feature can assist you with the most mundane parts of driving.
Keeping up with the latest tech, the Tesla Model S also has over the air software updates to continuously update performance, features and functionality. Tesla Model 3 - 348 miles
Making its way to second place is the Tesla Model 3 which has an impressive 348 miles of range with its long-range battery. It has an All-Wheel-Drive dual motor which can take you from 0-60pmh in just 3.2 seconds – faster than a Ferrari GTC4 Lusso. Plus, the Model 3 can be charged up to 170 miles in 30 minutes with a supercharger. Most supermarkets and service stations have a supercharger, so you can charge your car while you get your shopping done.
Safety is key for the Model 3 with its strong aluminium and steel structure. According to Tesla, in a crash test, the Model 3 resisted 4 times its own mass (the same weight as two fully grown African elephants) – and that’s with an all glass roof too. Tesla Model X - 314 miles
The Tesla Model X is a luxurious 7-seater car, with an excellent long-range battery, ranging up to 314 miles. It’s also the quickest SUV in the world and can go from 0 to 60 in just 2.7 seconds! The Jaguar I-Pace is Jaguar’s all electric SUV, boasting 292 miles of range, a 90kWh battery and 696Nm of instant torque. With a rapid 50kW charger, you can give the I-Pace a charge of up to 168 miles within an hour. The exterior design of the I-Pace is bold, with a low waistline, dramatic bonnet scoop and hunched rear. Its aerodynamic design means it has a low drag coefficient of 0.29Cd, allowing the I-Pace to accelerate quickly and smoothly.
Due to the nature of its electric powertrain, the Jaguar I-Pace is spacious inside and has plenty of storage. The boot has an impressive 656 litres of storage space – 1453 litres with the rear seats folded down. The interior is minimalistic yet luxurious with its handcrafted touches. Hyundai Kona Electric - 279 miles

Mercedes EQC – 259 miles
The Mercedes EQC has been designed to help drivers easily transition to an electric car. Its look and feel are familiar because Mercedes has essentially adapted the same platform as the GLC. The interior is high tech and gives off a modern feel with its various materials. The seats are made from 100% recycled materials that have come from old seatbelts and plastic waste. The manufacturing process of the seats has reduced emissions by over 60% compared to the manufacturing of traditional materials.
However, when it comes to electric cars, it’s not just about the looks. Battery and charging are the most important – and the Renault ZOE delivers. Its Z.E. 50 battery has a 52kWh capacity and lets you drive up to 245 miles. The battery also stores 25% more energy than its previous version even though they both had the same dimensions. The battery is also located lower to the centre of gravity under the floor so unlike other electric cars, the battery doesn’t limit space in the car and boot.

Nissan Leaf e+ - 239 miles
The Nissan Leaf e+ is a higher end version of the Nissan Leaf with a more powerful motor, a 62kWh battery and 239-mile range. It can go from 0-62 in 6.9 seconds – faster than the acceleration time for the Nissan Leaf – even though it is heavier. The e+ without a doubt is a reliable and popular choice for an electric car, with Nissan having sold over 400,000 Nissan Leafs within nine years.
The Nissan Leaf e+ has all the modern features you need including navigation, ProPilot, LED headlamps and a luxurious seat trim. You also get a 360 view with the cameras which are placed all around the e+. The user interface is better with a range of services such as the ability to find a local charging station as well as mapping and navigation. The e+ also offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, to help you safely stay connected. Even though the battery is bigger in the e+, the space inside is still the same, ensuring you get enough legroom and storage.
One of the benefits of the e+ is the e-pedal which lets you drive the car without using the brake pedal. When you lift your foot off the accelerator, the e-pedal will slow the car to a halt. This is better on the motorway, as its e-pedal isn’t as harshwhereas at slow speeds, it can feel quite abrupt.
Audi e-tron - 237 miles
